POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: PROGRAMMER/ANALYST
Department: Information Systems
Reports to: Information Systems Manager
Main Function: Responsible for application program development,
training, and implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops and writes application programs on the HP3000.
2. Provides application, PC, and network support, as needed.
3. Develops and maintains new application programs from systems analysis and design through programming and implementation.
4. Performs program maintenance on a regular basis.
5. Assists in the review of all systems.
6. Coordinates with other departments to ascertain programming priorities.
7. Performs other duties as assigned by the Information Systems Manager.
Qualifications:
1. Effective oral and written communication skills.
2. Must have ability to listen effectively.
3. Must have ability to communicate on all levels in a tactful, diplomatic manner.
4. Must have 2+ years experience in FORTRAN working with Turbo Image database, KSAM and VPLUS.
5. Must have strong PC and networking skills.
6. Experience with CA-MANMAN on HP3000 and Novell is a plus.
7. Some experience in business programming using a data base management concept.
8. Familiarity with system analysis techniques.
9. Actively acquiring additional data processing skills.
